Independence Day is on July 28th and the celebrations have already begun. Everybody´s getting really patriotic and today was the last day of school for many schools before a little vacation time. I too will be on vacation....and of course my mother will be here. So to celebrate Independence Day my preschool had a little festival showcasing all the different traditions in the different regions of Peru. They had food, clothes, and artistic items from the jungle, the coastline, the mountains. And then the kids performed some traditional dances.
Then the next my preschool was in a little parade at a catholic school nearby. Here´s some pics from our parade adventure that I took with my old snapshot camera.
And I was so happy to be able to wear my awesome orange uniform for the parade. I should have worn this in the fashion show.
P.S. My mother arrives in two days!!!!!!
