Barranco Re-visited

I´m pretty sure you have all seen pictures of Barranco on this blog. But just in case you´ve forgotten about it, I thought we would revisit this old artsy district of Lima one more time. Coco´s grandmother has a house in this district and I stayed there with her before I came to visit California for Christmas. I loved strolling this area in the afternoon and taking in all the sights, sounds, and smells of it. On our return from California Coco and I spent some time walking through Barranco and one day we took Kiara for a stroll through the area. Kiara is Coco´s dog that lives with his grandma, we couldn´t bring her to Iquitos. But here´s some moments from that day.

The main plaza area is beautiful and and right now the summer flowers are blooming in bright colors.

Just a few steps away from the main plaza is the beautiful coastline with great views.

It´s a great place to catch a sunset, like this one that we were lucky enough to see.

The area has an old and artistic style to all of its details.

The walls are all cracked and peeling everywhere you look. And the walls seem to naturally tell the story of time.

Some of the houses in Barranco look older and less maintained, but they all boast their own unique style.

Barranco is by far one of my favorite neighborhoods and when ever I say that we are in Lima, you can bet that we are probably strolling through it on our visit.

I may sound like a broken record because I feel like I always say this, but I don't care. You take such beautiful photos!

Love this, Annie! I want to go inside some of those houses! More than that, I want to stroll those same streets with you and Coco!
