An Old Sewing Machine

I spotted an old sewing machine in the house we are temporarily staying in here in Lima. It belongs to Coco´s grandmother and I know nothing about it. But for some reason I just thought it was beautiful and once I started taking pictures of it, I just couldn´t stop. I wonder where this beautiful machine has been, what it´s seen, and what has been created with it. Too bad I don´t know how to sew.

Asia

We went to Asia beach over the weekend with a few friends. It´s a beautiful beach south of Lima. Most go there to escape the city and rest at their beach houses. We stayed in our friends´ beach house and spent the few days we were there eating, sleeping, and swimming. Summer here has technically already finished so we had the whole beach to ourselves. It felt like we had escaped to a private beach.

The house we stayed in has been in the family of our friend Alonso for years. It´s located in a small community of houses nestled in between rolling hills. His parents bought the house just as the neighborhood was up and coming and they were lucky enough to secure a place right on the beach with a spectacular view.

There are more than 50 houses in this little area. There´s also a swimming pool, tennis courts, restaurant, clubhouse, lounge, and playground. During the summer it is bustling with all the residents taking long weekends with their families. Here´s a look around the neighborhood.

We are so grateful to our friends for inviting us.

It was such a beautiful place and I´m already missing it.
