Tarapoto Part 2

On our second day we drove all the way up to the top of another mountain to see some waterfalls. They were breathtaking and although the water was freezing, we decided to take the plunge anyway. We had the whole waterfall to ourselves and it eventually started to rain. So we packed up and headed down the mountain in our raincoats. We felt like we must have looked like Harry and Loyd on their little moto from Dumb and Dumber. All we were missing were the icicles hanging off our faces. But it was all worth it.

Here´s a peek at out backpacker hotel and restaurant called La Patarashca.

We went out for a special dinner for Coco´s birthday. He wanted a steak dinner so we went to a well known restaurant called Tia Sully´s. It was an amazing meal and we topped it off with a birthday cake I secretly ordered as a surprise for Coco.

And that was Day 2. The following day was a lazy day. We slept in, hung around the hotel, went for a walk around the plaza and then we later made our way over to a recreation club where we ate ceviche and relaxed by the pool.

Check back for pictures of our last day in Tarapoto.
