Our friends were sweet enough to throw us a big surprise party the day we returned from Tarapoto. Conveniently our neighbors taking care of the house had a spare key. So they just let themselves in and covered the house with decorations and sweet messages. We really were very surprised and very moved by such a grand gesture. It only made it harder to leave Iquitos. We are now in Lima finishing up some paperwork to come to the States. but we do have a few more adventures planned before we leave.

They made it seem as if something bad had happened in the house. They put up danger signs and poured water out the front door, and covered all the windows. We thought the house might be flooded. But instead we were pleasantly surprised.
I´m so thankful we were able to be part of such an amazing family though the Air Force. We´ll miss all of them and all the friends we made in Iquitos.
